These last 2 years for me have been filled with many memories good and bad, but the good outweigh the bad by a long shot. I've been places, made new friends, grown as a person, and made mistakes along the way that I've learned from.
2 years ago I graduated from High School, which my tears I shed were tears of joy....I was ready for the college life and being more independent and on my own. My graduation gift was to go to Memphis, Tenneessee with my family. Mainly to Graceland because I am a HUGE Elvis Presley fan as well as visiting the Memphis Zoo. Both were an amazing experiences and of course when I laid my teddy bear and 7 page letter down on Elvis' grave I burst into tears. Everyone was basically in tears or in silence remembering him. The zoo was really cool even though it was the hottest day of the year well over 100 degrees. But we had a great time.
Fast forward 2 years later and I just graduated from my 2 year college with an Associates of Arts in Elementary Education and going to a University this Fall to finish my degree. I had some trials and triumphs in time but I learned from my mistakes and am here today with more knowledge.
But the best moments were the times my family and I went on vacation to Branson, Missouri or the time I went to Worlds of Fun with my college choir. Some memories are still so surreal. Last Summer I went to a NKOTBSB concert (New Kids On The Block & Backstreet Boys) and even met the Backstreet Boys. I only had to wait 15 yrs but it was the best day of my life. They were so sweet and took many pictures and signed stuff as well as giving us hugs. Nick Carter has been my crush forever and to be an inch from him was the best thing, plus he gives amazing hugs! Another surreal moment was when my mom and I on a whim went to Lauren Conrad's book signing in Kansas City and met her, we also went shopping and had a great girls night out. And I can't forget the time I saw Joseph Hall an Elvis Tribute singer in concert and met and talked with him. As well as getting a signed photo from Jensen Ackles (for sending in ducks for charity thing). Getting a personalized copy of Chad Michael Murray's graphic novel Everlast and a signed tee too.
I have made friends and lost some, I have gained knowledge unlike times where I messed up and had to learn from it. I met my idols and will meet more this Fall (Norman Reedus & Sean Patrick Flanery), I've been places and still have places to explore. But all in all I am blessed with the many memories with my family and friends.
Here are some of these memories I caught on camera......
