The Summer of Friends & Good Times
So this Summer started out great but then hit a rough patch in last 3 weeks. It kinda gave me insight to my life. That you may not have tomorrow or be able to take those chances. You may regret what you didn't do & not what you did do. I've always been a homebody & hung out with friends here & there. Well that has changed...see I have decided to right the wrong with friends & whoever else. To take chances when they seek my way. I have began to hang out with my friends more and it has been great for me. I have rekindled past mistakes & had help from others to bring back a friendship I once lost. The Summer of 2012 is going to be a good one because I'm going to make it that way. Making memories to last forever & friends who are always there. Because friends are your rock the people you go to for fun times, venting times, crazy times or just any time. I am going to come out of this shell a little & live a lot!

Rough Day
You know when you have a rough day where everything annoys you & you can't stand any of the people around you? Ya that was my day & it started at 5 am & lasted till almost 4 pm! I work at a hotel as desk clerk on the weekends & let's just say people don't know how to clean up after themselves after they eat breakfast or keep their kids from climbing on stuff or simply just being kind instead of being rude and inconsiderate. I am not a people person in the first place so it just enhanced my irritated mood. Along with paperwork to do early in the morning and answering phone calls while also checking on laundry cause housekeeping was busy....ugh
BUT....now I am home & relaxing online & also came home to something that made my day....
There is a mommy Kill Deer bird in our background who laid eggs not too long ago & 2 of them hatched....don't have pics of the babies yet didn't want to get too close but did get pictures of the mommy & daddy :) (the tire is protecting the babies from our dogs lol)
So when your having a bad day just think of the little things like I came home to & you will realize there is good in any day sometimes it may be something small or something you have to seek out....but GOD let's us know with these rough days & stressful work hours there is beauty in your life if you just look... My Last 2 Years In Retrospective
These last 2 years for me have been filled with many memories good and bad, but the good outweigh the bad by a long shot. I've been places, made new friends, grown as a person, and made mistakes along the way that I've learned from.
2 years ago I graduated from High School, which my tears I shed were tears of joy....I was ready for the college life and being more independent and on my own. My graduation gift was to go to Memphis, Tenneessee with my family. Mainly to Graceland because I am a HUGE Elvis Presley fan as well as visiting the Memphis Zoo. Both were an amazing experiences and of course when I laid my teddy bear and 7 page letter down on Elvis' grave I burst into tears. Everyone was basically in tears or in silence remembering him. The zoo was really cool even though it was the hottest day of the year well over 100 degrees. But we had a great time.
Fast forward 2 years later and I just graduated from my 2 year college with an Associates of Arts in Elementary Education and going to a University this Fall to finish my degree. I had some trials and triumphs in time but I learned from my mistakes and am here today with more knowledge.
But the best moments were the times my family and I went on vacation to Branson, Missouri or the time I went to Worlds of Fun with my college choir. Some memories are still so surreal. Last Summer I went to a NKOTBSB concert (New Kids On The Block & Backstreet Boys) and even met the Backstreet Boys. I only had to wait 15 yrs but it was the best day of my life. They were so sweet and took many pictures and signed stuff as well as giving us hugs. Nick Carter has been my crush forever and to be an inch from him was the best thing, plus he gives amazing hugs! Another surreal moment was when my mom and I on a whim went to Lauren Conrad's book signing in Kansas City and met her, we also went shopping and had a great girls night out. And I can't forget the time I saw Joseph Hall an Elvis Tribute singer in concert and met and talked with him. As well as getting a signed photo from Jensen Ackles (for sending in ducks for charity thing). Getting a personalized copy of Chad Michael Murray's graphic novel Everlast and a signed tee too.
I have made friends and lost some, I have gained knowledge unlike times where I messed up and had to learn from it. I met my idols and will meet more this Fall (Norman Reedus & Sean Patrick Flanery), I've been places and still have places to explore. But all in all I am blessed with the many memories with my family and friends.
Here are some of these memories I caught on camera......Thursday, May 24, 2012
Obsessions or to make it sound less creepy....Dedication
We all have those obsessions over a celebrity, show, book, or even the most random things. But it sounds creepy when we call it an obsession....so how bout dedication to something? I think that sounds better and more fit. I'm just going to share a few of mine that I have....and yes I am an entertainment freak so they are mainly to do w/ shows & celebrities.
- 1) Supernatural- this is a show that caught my attention about 4 yrs ago when I was a Junior in High School flipping through the channels and came across the description of the show. "2 brothers from Lawrence, Kansas on the hunt for Supernatural things" it was something along the lines of that. Anyway it caught my eye because I actually was born in Lawrence & still live in Kansas. So I watched it & it was the pilot episode but it was a rerun. I instantly fell in love with the character Dean Winchester & was hooked. Not until a few months later I bought the 1st season on a whim & then did my dedication to the show blossom....along w/ my dad and sister who love it as well. But I am the one who quotes it religiously and has seen every episode around 10 times each. It is now 7 seasons in & season 8 begins this Fall. This show really means a lot to me & has always been there for me. Bad days, sad days, even happy days this show never fails to make me smile & I enjoy every bit of it.
- 2) Norman Reedus- He is a 43 yr old actor who has starred in Boondock Saints 1 & 2 and is Daryl Dixon on the quite addicting show The Walking Dead. I love everything about this man. He is unique and like no other celeb I know. He is a brilliant actor and even has his own photography along w/ short films he has made. His talent inspires me greatly and I love how he interacts so much w/ his fans. I follow him on Twitter & he follows fans back me included & DMs us too (I have 10). Even though he has a busy schedule he still shows love to us & its quite amazing. I will have the privilege of meeting this lovely man come August at Chicago Comic Con for 4 days!!!
- 3) Jensen Ackles- he plays Dean Winchester on Supernatural (my other dedication). Let's just say at first it was a really bad obsession over this man I would go on the internet & just look at pictures of him all night & watch videos of interviews & clips. There is just something about this man. He is not mega famous just like Norman Reedus, which is I guess why I love them so much. He is humble & down to earth & just does what he loves. & basically the only actor who can do the single tear drop like a pro...so real & makes me cry. Even though so many of us fans pour over him & his beautiful self along w/ his amazing acting he still acts as though he doesn't realize he is such a big deal. Oh & he can sing too, just listen to Jason Manns w/ Jensen Ackles-Crazy Love he has a solo part that I rewind a thousand times :) One day I hope to meet him & just tell him how amazing I think he is & that he is my favorite actor of all time not just cause he is a great actor or so handsome, but because he is humble and sweet & the most down to earth celeb out there.

Random
This is my first post for this blog of mine. So I guess it will just be a random sort of welcome to me and who I am. From a small town in Kansas, love being outdoors, have 3 dogs, I watch the shows Supernatural & The Walking Dead religiously, have met the Backstreet Boys and Lauren Conrad & will meet Norman Reedus & Sean Patrick Flanery this Fall! I am always cold...that's why I love Summer, especially the swimming, tanning, biking, anything outside, watch way too many movies, love to make collages, reading is my getaway, and I plan to move to South Carolina in the near future.
So this is just a glimpse into my life......there is so much more about me but that is what this blog is about....getting to know me over time :)
Each day I will try & post something I am feeling, loving, or even hating at that moment....as for now peace out & welcome to my new blog! & here is a picture of me....
